About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated and technically skilled Site Engineer – Finishing Works to join the construction team for a major Railway Project in Bilimora, Gujarat. This role involves end-to-end supervision, execution, and coordination of all finishing activities including Granite Flooring, ACP Ceiling, ACP Cladding, Open Cell Ceiling, Gypsum Partitioning, Glass Cladding, Painting and other finishing works to ensure delivery of high-quality construction following design standards, specifications, and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

Execution & Supervision

• Supervise daily finishing and building activities including plastering, flooring & tiling, painting, false ceiling, partitions, façade works, and interior finishes.
• Ensure all works are executed strictly as per approved drawings, BOQ, specifications, and method statements.
• Maintain correct line, level, plumb and finishing quality across tasks.

Quality Control & Documentation

• Conduct regular quality inspections and record observations.
• Coordinate with QC team for inspections, approvals, and Non-Conformance Reports (NCR).
• Maintain daily logs, Daily Progress Reports (DPR), Material Inspection Reports (MIR), and Work Inspection Reports (WIR).

Planning & Progress Tracking

• Monitor and report daily/weekly progress against targets.
• Highlight delays, material shortages, and deviations to Project Management for corrective action.
• Support planning team with look-ahead schedules and manpower deployment planning.

Safety & Compliance

• Enforce site safety norms and ensure adherence to HSE policies.
• Ensure workforce follows PPE requirements and safe work practices at all times.

Coordination & Communication

• Liaise with subcontractors, vendors, planning, procurement, safety, and quality teams for smooth execution.
• Attend site coordination meetings and communicate updates regularly.

Required Skills & Experience

✔ Education: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering or related field

✔ Experience: 3–8 years in finishing works, preferably in infrastructure, rail, metro, or large commercial projects

✔ Strong knowledge of finishing materials, construction methods, and workmanship standards

✔ Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and BOQ

✔ Practical experience in quality control, site documentation, and reporting

✔ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

✔ Hands-on, proactive, and able to work independently on site

Preferred
