Job Description

The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving showroom sales performance by leading the sales team, developing effective sales strategies, ensuring excellent customer experience, and achieving monthly and annual sales targets. The role requires strong leadership, automobile industry knowledge, and the ability to manage end-to-end sales operations.

Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Revenue Management

  • Plan, execute, and achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
  • Monitor daily sales activities and ensure consistent lead conversion
  • Analyze market trends, customer demand, and competitor activities
  • Drive upselling and cross-selling of accessories, insurance, and finance

Team Leadership & Training

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate sales executives for high performance
  • Conduct regular sales meetings, reviews, and performance evaluations
  • Provide product training, sales techniques, and customer handling coaching
  • Ensure team discipline, grooming standards, and professionalism

Customer Relationship Management

  • Handle key customers, high-value deals, and corporate sales inquiries
  • Resolve customer escalations and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Build long-term relationships with repeat and referral customers
  • Ensure smooth vehicle delivery and post-sales follow-up

Sales Strategy & Promotions

  • Design and implement showroom-level sales strategies and campaigns
  • Coordinate with marketing teams for local promotions, events, and offers
  • Support dealership promotional activities and festival campaigns

Reporting & MIS

  • Track daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance
  • Prepare and submit sales reports, forecasts, and MIS to management
  • Maintain accurate data in CRM systems

Inter-Department Coordination

  • Coordinate with finance teams for loan approvals and documentation
  • Work closely with service and spare parts teams to improve customer experience
  • Ensure smooth inventory planning and vehicle availability

Eligibility & SkillsEducational Qualification

  • Graduate in any discipline (MBA preferred)

Experience

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in automobile sales
  • At least 2 years in a team-handling role is preferred

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and customer-handling abilities
  • Sound knowledge of two-wheeler/automobile products
  • Proficiency in computer applications (CRM, MS Excel, MIS reporting)
  • Target-oriented mindset with problem-solving capabilities
