Deputy Manager- BIW Quality

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

• Must be from automotive OEM (Passenger vehicle) company with minimum 15 years of experience in manufacturing Quality
• Holding  Degree in Mechanical
• Hands on experience of BIW Manufacturing processes
• Understanding of Spot welding, C02 Welding, VIN Machine , Robotic Hemming , Adhesives, Welding Fixtures 
• Knowledge/Know-how of Body shop Indicators  like Gap & Flushness (1D), Dimensional integrity (3D CMM) , Stack up Tolerance (GD&T)
• Knowledge of Proactive systems like Poka-Yoke, Traceability , Zero defect stages / Operator, Human Error Prevention .
• Handling of Next customer issues (Paint , TCF & PQA)- root cause analysis and action planning with horizontal deployment.
• Handling of field concerns- root cause analysis and action planning with horizontal deployment.
• Knowledge of New product development (NPD) process. Should able to handle FTR related to BIW changes.
• Participate in various CFTs like EN, DCP, MPPAP, etc
• Managing & strengthening of BIW checks at EOL inspection.
• Carry out process and product audits as per plan and getting closure of audit observations.
• Ensure right quality of outgoing vehicles.
• Managing shop Quality indicators.
• Communicate shop / plant actions on product issues to internal & external customers.
• Guide Team / associates in their routine activities
• Co-Ordinate to resolve chronic concerns through QC story Approach

Work with related stake holders (Like PE, CME, PVT , Design) for chronic concern resolution
