Job Description
- Supplier Sourcing and Evaluation: Identify, evaluate, and develop potential suppliers based on quality, technical capabilities, delivery reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Technical Procurement: Analyze technical requirements from engineering designs, blueprints, or specifications to procure appropriate materials and equipment.
- Negotiation and Contracting: Lead negotiations for high-value contracts to secure favorable pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Quality Assurance and Inspection: Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure all incoming materials meet specified standards and project requirements.
- Order Management and Expediting: Issue purchase orders (LPOs/VOs), track orders, and perform vendor site visits to ensure timely delivery and prevent production shortages.
- Cost Optimization: Develop strategies to reduce procurement costs while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of suppliers, purchase orders, and contracts while complying with company policies and legal regulations.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Liaise with production, engineering, and project teams to forecast demand and address material issues promptly.
- Risk Mitigation: Monitor market trends and supplier performance to identify and mitigate potential supply chain risks.
