Job Description

Sr. Engineer Process – Cables


Responsible for driving process development for advanced wire and cable products, including protocol, Ethernet/IP communication, and high-flexibility cables, to support global sales growth and profitability.


Key requirements:

  • Expertise in machine processes such as extrusion, cabling, braiding, and armouring.
  • In-depth knowledge of raw material processing, including PVC, PP, FEP, XLPE, and NHFR.
  • Knowledge in electrical and mechanical testing of cable, as well as in developing new tools, dies, and fixtures.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting, mass production processes, resolving manufacturing and process-related issues, and ensuring stable production continuity.
  • Focused on overall cable cost reduction through re-engineering and process improvements.
  • Experienced in verifying product and testing reports and supporting cross-functional teams during third-party supplier audits.
  • Collaborates closely with sourcing teams for new cable development at third-party supplier locations.
  • Knowledgeable about competitive market products and industry trends.
  • Ensures technical document accuracy and timely revision updates at third-party supplier sites.
  • Validates process cards against actual factory practices, promptly correcting deviations as required.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date process card data and process parameters within SAP systems.
  •  Well-versed in national and international standards, including IS, EN,50288-7,IEC 60092-376/353,IEC 60502-1,AS/NZS 5000.1, and UL standards (UL 62, UL 83, UL 44, UL 444, UL 13, UL 1277).
  •  Proficient in Excel, CAD, SAP, and related office software.
  •  Strong project management, analytical skills, rapid development capability, and effective cross-functional collaboration.
  •  Communication proficiency with global cross-functional teams.
  • This position will report to Manager – Cable Design & Process.


You will make an impact in the following way:

  •  Coordinate with cross-functional teams (PM, Sourcing & PS) ensure smooth transition of new products.
  • Manage key and localization projects, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.
  • Maintain and updated technical documentation and performance data while supporting Quality, Manufacturing, and Materials teams.


What you will bring:

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Telecommunication, or Mechanical Engineering with 10 + years of experience in cable development and process engineering. Proficiency in MS Office Suite, CAD, and related tools is essential.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong familiarity with wire and cable standards such as IS, UL, VDE, IEC, EN, and AS/NZS. Experience with international standards is an added advantage.
