Job Description

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and job specifications.
  • Measure and mark materials accurately using measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Cut, shape, bend, and assemble metal components using fabrication tools and machines.
  • Set up and operate manual and CNC lathe machines for machining operations.
  • Perform turning, facing, threading, drilling, boring, and knurling operations as required.
  • Select appropriate cutting tools, materials, and machine parameters for different jobs.
  • Weld, assemble, and finish fabricated parts according to specifications.
  • Ensure dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and overall quality of components.
  • Conduct inspection and quality checks of finished products.
  • Perform routine maintenance of machines and tools to ensure smooth operation.
  • Follow workplace safety procedures and use proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain production records and report any technical issues to supervisors.
  • Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to meet deadlines.
