Frappe ERPNext Engineer

About the Role

We are hiring an ERPNext Implementation Engineer to set up, customize and manage ERPNext for a manufacturing company. The role requires strong experience with Frappe Framework and deep understanding of manufacturing workflows.

Key Responsibilities

1. ERPNext Setup & Configuration

• Configure core modules: Manufacturing, Inventory, Purchase, Sales, Accounts, HR, Quality
• Set up roles, permissions, print formats, company settings

2. Manufacturing Workflow Implementation

• Build BOMs, Workstations, Operations, Routing
• Configure Work Orders, Job Cards, Production Planning
• Map real shop-floor processes into ERPNext

3. Customization (Frappe Framework)

• Create Custom DocTypes, fields, client scripts
• Build custom Frappe apps
• Develop Python backend logic and REST API integrations
• Customize print formats using Jinja

4. Data Migration

• Import master data: Items, Suppliers, Customers, BOMs
• Import transactions as required
• Validate and reconcile migrated data

5. Workflow Automation

• Create approval workflows, alerts, scheduled jobs
• Automate manufacturing processes with server scripts

6. Integrations

• Integrate ERPNext with third-party services
• Build API-based connections

7. Testing, Training & Documentation

• Create test cases and perform QA
• Train employees on ERP usage
• Document processes and customizations

Skills Required

Technical Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience with ERPNext & Frappe
• Python, JavaScript, MariaDB/MySQL
• Bench, Git, Linux server management
• Custom apps, custom DocTypes, API integration
• Jinja, HTML/CSS basics

Domain Skills:

• Manufacturing processes knowledge
• BOM, Work Orders, Routing, QC, Inventory
• Understanding of accounting basics (preferred)

Soft Skills:

• Strong problem-solving
• Good communication with non-technical teams
• Ability to convert business needs into system workflows
