Job Description
- Material Receipt & VerificationReceive materials, spare parts, and consumables from vendors or the central warehouse.
- Verify quantity, quality, and specifications as per purchase orders or delivery challans.
- Ensure all materials are inspected and recorded properly before storage.
- Maintain Goods Receipt Notes (GRN) and other inward documentation.
- 2. Material Storage & HandlingStore materials systematically with proper identification and tagging.
- Ensure safe storage conditions for all items (electrical spares, DG parts, lubricants, etc.).
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the store area.
- Regularly check for damages, leakages, or expired materials.
- 3. Material Issuance & ReturnIssue materials to service engineers or departments as per approved requisitions.
- Maintain issue records with signatures and proper documentation.
- Handle material returns and update records accordingly.
- Track and control the movement of tools, equipment, and spares.
- 4. Inventory Management & Record KeepingMaintain up-to-date stock ledgers (manual and ERP-based).
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly physical stock verifications.
- Identify slow-moving, obsolete, or excess items and report to management.
- Assist auditors during stock audits and provide all required reports.
- 5. Procurement & CoordinationRaise material requisitions to the purchase team or Head Office as per requirements.
- Follow up with suppliers for timely delivery of goods.
- Coordinate with accounts and logistics for invoice and transport documentation.
- 6. Documentation & ReportingMaintain GRNs, issue slips, gate passes, and vendor delivery notes.
- Submit daily/weekly/monthly stock and consumption reports.
- Reconcile stock balances with system data.
- 7. Safety & ComplianceEnsure adherence to company safety standards and procedures in store operations.
- Maintain proper storage of hazardous materials (if any).
- Support in maintaining records for safety audits and inspections.
