Business Development Executive (BDE)

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development: Generate leads through market visits (door-to-door) and personal networking to promote and sell Paytm's EDC and Soundbox devices.

Merchant Onboarding: Visit client locations (shops, hotels, etc.), manage the proper documentation (KYC), and onboard new merchants onto the platform.

Device Deployment & Installation: Install the EDC/POS machines at client locations and ensure they are active and functional.

Merchant Training & Support: Articulate the benefits and best practices of using the devices and the Paytm for Business app. Provide initial post-sales support and troubleshoot common issues.

Target Achievement: Consistently meet and exceed daily/monthly sales and activation targets.

Market Feedback: Gather feedback from the market on existing offerings and competitor activities to help refine sales strategies and product enhancements.

Risk Management: Ensure quality merchant onboarding to minimize risks of fraud and chargebacks. 

Requirements

Education: A minimum of 10th or 12th pass is typically required, with graduation preferred for some roles.

Experience: 0-2 years of experience in field sales, preferably in the fintech, banking, or POS sales industry.

Skills: Strong communication, sales, and negotiation skills, along with a self-motivated, target-driven attitude.

Logistics: Must often have a personal two-wheeler and a smartphone for commuting and daily operations.
