Infrastructure Engineer

The ideal candidate must possess strong communication skills, with an ability to listen and comprehend information and share it with all the key stakeholders, highlighting opportunities for improvement and concerns, if any. He/she must be able to work collaboratively with teams to execute tasks within defined timeframes while maintaining high-quality standards and superior service levels. The ability to take proactive actions and willingness to take up responsibility beyond the assigned work area is a plus.

1. 3-8 years of experience in Production support with more focus on monitoring infrastructure and resolving Infrastructure related issues
2. Ability to work at all levels in production support with good experience of working at L2/L3 level support
3. Good knowledge of Linux/Unix. Good troubleshooting knowledge of problems at infrastructure level
4. Good experience of supporting/managing a J2EE application
5. Good exposure to middleware systems (WAS/JBOSS/WebLogic)
6. Good Hands on with SQL
7. Good working knowledge of Oracle and experience of troubleshooting and resolving application related issues
8. Hands on with Shell/Perl scripting to write/modify scripts for infrastructure setup and processes
9. Hands on with batch job scheduling and troubleshooting softwares such as Tidal/Autosys/Control-M
10. Hands on with enterprise monitoring tools such as ITRS Geneos/Nagios
11. Good understanding of Production support
12. Experience with GoldenSource or Asset control environment would be a plus
