Job Summary


The Medical Representative is responsible for promoting the company’s pharmaceutical products to doctors, hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies, building strong professional relationships, and achieving assigned sales targets within the territory.


Job Title:

As assigned (Field role)Reporting To: Area Sales Manager / Regional Sales Manager


  • Key Responsibilities Promote company products to doctors, dermatologists, hospitals, and healthcare professionals.
  • Generate prescriptions and ensure consistent brand visibility in the assigned area.
  • Achieve monthly and annual sales targets as per company policy.
  • Conduct regular field visits and product detailing to doctors and chemists.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs).
  • Ensure proper implementation of marketing strategies and promotional campaigns.
  • Collect market intelligence on competitors’ products, pricing, and strategies.
  • Organize CMEs, product launches, and promotional activities as required.
  • Ensure timely collection of payments (if applicable).
  • Submit daily call reports (DCR), weekly and monthly sales reports.
  • Comply with company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory guidelines.


  • Required Qualifications Graduate in any discipline (Science preferred).
  • Diploma / Degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or relevant field is an added advantage.
  • Experience-6 Month–2 years: Fresher or Junior MR
  • 2–5 years: Experienced MR
  • 5+ years: Senior MR / Therapy Specialist
  • Dermatology / Pharma experience .


  • Key Skills & CompetenciesStrong communication and presentation skills.
  • Convincing and negotiation abilities.
  • Good knowledge of pharmaceutical products and therapy segments.
  • Relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
  • Target-oriented and self-motivated.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the territory.
  • Basic computer skills (MS Excel, reporting tools).
