We are seeking a skilled Plumbing & Fire Fighting Design Engineer to join our dynamic team and play a crucial role in the design and implementation of plumbing and fire protection systems for a wide range of construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing innovative and efficient solutions, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards, and contributing to the overall success of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design and Engineering: Develop detailed plans and specifications for plumbing and firefightingsystems in commercial, industrial, and residential buildings. This includes water supply systems, drainage systems, firefighting systems, and water-based suppression systems.

2. Compliance and Regulations: Stay up to datewith local and international plumbing and fire safety codes, regulations, and standards. Ensure all designs adhere to the applicable guidelines and obtain necessary approvals from relevant authorities.

3. System Analysis: Conduct hydraulic calculations, optimum pipe size calculations, and invert level calculations to optimize the efficiency and functionality of plumbing and fire protection systems.

4. Material and Equipment Selection: Identify and specify appropriate plumbing and firefightingmaterials, equipment, and fixtures that meet project requirements and budget constraints.

5. Coordination and Collaboration: Work closely with architects, mechanical engineers, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate plumbing and firefighting systems seamlessly into building designs.

6. Sustainability and Energy Efficiency: Integrate sustainable and energy-efficient practices into the design of plumbing and fire protection systems, promoting environmental responsibility in all projects.

7. Quality Assurance: Perform thorough reviews of design documents and ensure compliance with project objectives, standards, and specifications.

8. Cost Estimation: Provide accurate and detailed cost estimates for plumbing and firefightingsystems.

9. Construction Support: Offer technical support during the construction phase, respond to site queries, review shop drawings, and provide solutions to unforeseen challenges.

10. Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of advancements in plumbing and firefightingtechnologies, industry best practices, and emerging trends. Propose and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of design practices.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or civil engineering or a related field with a focus on plumbing and fire protection systems.

• Proven experience of minimum 2 Years as a Plumbing & Fire Fighting Design Engineer in the construction industry.

• Proficiency in relevant design software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint and hydraulic calculation tools.

• Strong knowledge of plumbing and fire fightingcodes and standards, including NBC 2016, BIs Codes, UPCI, and local building codes.

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with an eye for detail and accuracy.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey complex technical information clearly.

• Project management skills to handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
