System Engineer (Linux)

We’re looking for a hands-on System Engineer (Linux) who enjoys working in fast-moving startup environments. The role involves managing Linux servers, virtual machines, and databases while supporting day-to-day infrastructure needs with a strong problem-solving mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up, manage, and troubleshoot Linux servers (CentOS/RHEL, Ubuntu Server).
• Create and manage virtual machines, including VMware-based systems.
• Handle MySQL installation, basic tuning, backup, and recovery.
• Monitor server performance, uptime, and resource usage.
• Apply updates, patches, and basic security hardening.
• Support deployments, debugging, and production issues.
• Document setups and learn/improve systems continuously.

What We’re Looking For:

• ~1 year of hands-on Linux system administration experience.
• Practical knowledge of CentOS/RHEL and Ubuntu Server.
• Exposure to virtualization technologies, especially VMware.
• Working experience with MySQL.
• Comfortable with command line and basic shell scripting.
• Curious, self-driven, and willing to learn new technologies.

Good to Have:

• Experience with Apache/Nginx.
• Exposure to cloud platforms or containers.
• Familiarity with monitoring or backup tools.
