Position Overview

We are hiring a Site Engineer to support on-ground execution of NGO-funded healthcare and institutional construction projects. This role is ideal for a technically sound, execution-focused professional who can coordinate with vendors and contractors, track progress against drawings and schedules, ensure quality and safety compliance, and maintain accurate site documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Site Execution & Supervision●    Supervise daily site activities and ensure work is executed as per approved drawings, specifications, and method statements.

●    Coordinate with contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors for manpower planning, material reception, and work sequencing.

●    Ensure proper site readiness for tasks (materials, tools, access, safety arrangements) to avoid delays.

●    Support the Project Manager in meeting weekly and monthly construction targets.

Quality Control & Workmanship●    Monitor workmanship for civil, finishing, and basic MEP coordination as required on site.

●    Conduct routine checks, raise snags, and ensure closure with photographic and written records.

●    Ensure testing and inspection activities are executed where applicable.

●    Maintain sample approvals and quality benchmarks aligned with BuiltX standards.

Planning, Tracking & Reporting●    Maintain daily progress reports (DPR), manpower logs, and material consumption tracking.

●    Support preparation of weekly progress updates with site photos, measurements, and work completion status.

●    Identify blockers early (drawings, materials, manpower, approvals) and escalate with solutions.

●    Assist with micro-scheduling and coordination for upcoming activities.

Measurement, Billing & Documentation●    Take site measurements and support preparation/verification of MB (Measurement Book) entries and running bills.

●    Verify vendor bills against site progress and measurement records.

●    Maintain documentation required for donor audits, client reporting, and internal reviews.

●    Ensure proper version control for drawings on site and track RFIs/clarifications.

Safety & Compliance ●    Ensure site safety protocols are followed (PPE compliance, barricading, housekeeping, signage).

●    Report near-misses/unsafe practices and coordinate corrective actions with Safety Officer/PM.

●    Ensure compliance with basic labor and site documentation requirements as guided by the team.

Coordination with Stakeholders●    Coordinate with consultants for site clarifications and inspections.

●    Support client/NGO representatives during site visits with progress walkthroughs and documentation.

●    Maintain respectful, clear communication with workers and local stakeholders in underserved communities.

Candidate Profile

Must-Have●    Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering (or related field).

●    2–6 years of site execution experience (civil works; institutional/commercial preferred).

●    Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and BOQs.

●    Basic knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, and quality checkpoints.

●    Familiarity with site documentation: DPR, measurements, material registers, checklists.

●    Proficiency in Hindi; working proficiency in English (for reporting).

Nice-to-Have●    Experience in healthcare/institutional infrastructure projects (hospitals, schools, campuses).

●    Exposure to finishing standards and coordination across civil + MEP interfaces.

●    Ability to use AutoCAD for quick on-site checks; knowledge of MS Excel/Google Sheets.

●    Experience working with NGOs/donor-funded projects and structured reporting.
