Job Title: Restaurant Steward

Department: Food & Beverage Service

Job Summary:The International Steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and smooth support operations in a restaurant environment that serves diverse international cuisines.

The role involves ensuring proper dishwashing, kitchen sanitation, and assisting service staff to meet global hospitality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, glassware, and kitchen equipment efficiently
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, dining areas, and storage spaces
• Ensure compliance with international hygiene and food safety standards
• Assist chefs and kitchen staff with basic preparation and support tasks
• Handle waste disposal and recycling as per regulations
• Refill supplies such as napkins, cutlery, and cleaning materials
• Support front-of-house staff during busy service hours
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a hazard-free work environment
• Work effectively in a multicultural team environment

Skills & Qualifications:

Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Good teamwork and communication skills
• Physical stamina and ability to stand for long hours
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays
• Prior experience in hospitality is an advantage (preferred but not mandatory)

Education:Minimum: High School / Equivalent

Certification in hospitality or food safety is a plus
