ELV & FPS Design Engineer Job Description

Position: ELV & Fire Protection System (FPS) Design Engineer – CAD

Experience: 0 – 1 Year

Qualification: Diploma / B.E / B.Tech – Electrical / Electronics / Fire & Safety

Location: [Chennai, Bangalore]

Job Summary

We are seeking a junior ELV & Fire Protection Design Engineer to support the preparation of CAD drawings, basic system designs, and technical documentation for ELV and Fire Protection systems as per approved standards and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and modify AutoCAD drawings for ELV & Fire Protection systems.

• Assist in design and drafting of Fire Alarm, Fire Fighting, and Gas Suppression systems.

• Revise drawings based on consultant/client comments.

• Support in preparation of as-built drawings and material take-offs.

• Coordinate with site and project teams for design clarifications.

• Assist in preparing material submittals and technical documentation.

• Ensure drawings comply with approved specifications and applicable codes.

Required Skills

• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD (2D)

• Basic understanding of Fire Protection & ELV systems

• Ability to read consultant drawings and specifications

• Good communication and coordination skills

• Basic MS Office knowledge

Preferred Skills (Optional)

• Internship or site exposure in ELV / Fire Protection projects

• Basic awareness of NBC, NFPA, IS Codes

• Revit knowledge (added advantage)

Experience

• Freshers or 0–1 year relevant experience
