AutoCAD Designer

 Design engineer of Meera Laser Solutions is responsible for the research and

design of company’s new products and systems and perform various tasks in an

design department including drafting blue prints, creating test prototypes and

overseeing the manufacturing process. .

 Design engineer is cross functional team member of the organization and

reporting to plant head.

 Designs engineer responsibility starts from the enquiry stage as he has to prepare

the Quote drawing (Out lined) for the customer enquiry. (Per the request of Sales

team Request.

 Design engineer is the member of sales order review team. While reviewing the

sales order, he has to review the customer requirements and give his

interpretations about the possibilities and difficulties to the customer through sales

team.

 Design engineer has the responsibility to prepare the drawings for the customized

equipment with the details of mechanical, electrical designs (General View) and

submit the drawings to customer through sales team.

 In case of any query raised by customer, clarification to be done.

 Design engineer shall issue the Bill of material (BOM) for each order.

 Prepare the possible design solutions and considering of cost effective designs,

accessing the usability, environmental impact and safety factors of design are the

responsibility of design engineer.

 After getting the approval from the customer, Design engineer shall prepare the

sub drawings for manufacturing, and grant the approval to other process owners

to access the drawings.

 Before making any drawings / designs, stake holders of organizations voice shall

be heard where needed.

 In case of any query raised by the internal process owners, shall be clarified.

 In case of any out sourced manufacturing activities that carried out in the supplier

end, provide the drawings for manufacturing to the suppliers in controlled manner.

 In case of any manufacturing activities (outsourcing) carried out in full

responsibility of supplier, supplier’s QAP, manufacturing design shall be

reviewed and approved by Design engineer.

Design engineer is the responsibility to controlling all the drawings, customer

approval drawing, Manufacturing drawings, both electrical & mechanical, drawings

that provided to supplier and organizations drawing related matters.

 Provide technical guidance to the manufacturing Process.

 For Job work items, interventions of design engineer shall be needed where /

when needed.

 Design engineer shall have touch with sales personnel to having the customer

feedback on the installed / designed equipment.

 If any customer complaints with regarding to the design, is the responsibility of

design engineer to resolve the issues in considering with QA.

 The customer complaints shall be considered before making any design/ drawing if

any issues were noticed in the past.

 Design engineer has to plan effectively to ensure projects are delivered on time,

to standard and to budget.

 Design engineer shall prepare monthly performance report of design function and

report to plant head / MD for review. Where all the detail shall be captured such

as how many drawings were made in the past month, Lead time per drawing

committed vs actual, cost effective and etc…

 Maintaining the drawings data base of the organization responsibility of design

engineer.
