Finance & Accounts Manager

The Head of Accounts will be responsible for overseeing the company's accounting department, ensuring accurate financial reporting, managing the team of accountants, and maintaining compliance with financial regulations. The role demands strong leadership skills, an in-depth understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to make strategic decisions to support the company's financial goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting and Analysis:
• Oversee the preparation and presentation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Ensure that financial statements are prepared in accordance with accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).
• Analyze financial performance and provide insights to senior management to support decision-making.
• Leadership and Team Management:
• Lead and manage the accounts team, including accountants, assistants, and other finance staff.
• Provide training and mentorship to the team to ensure professional growth and high performance.
• Conduct performance reviews and ensure the team is aligned with the companys goals.
• Compliance and Internal Controls:
• Ensure the companys compliance with tax laws, accounting standards, and financial regulations.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy.
• Coordinate and support internal and external audits, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
• Budgeting and Forecasting:
• Lead the budgeting and forecasting process in collaboration with the CFO and other departments.
• Monitor the company’s financial performance against budgets and forecasts, and provide variance analysis.
• Cash Flow and Treasury Management:
• Oversee the management of cash flow and ensure optimal liquidity to meet operational needs.
• Develop strategies for effective cash management and investment planning.
• Tax and Compliance Management:
• Manage corporate tax returns, VAT/GST filings, and other statutory obligations.
• Keep up to date with changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure the company is in compliance.
• Process Improvement:
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve the efficiency of the finance function.
• Implement and upgrade accounting software and systems to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Strategic Planning and Advisory:
• Work closely with senior management to provide financial insights for strategic business decisions.
• Participate in financial planning and risk management activities to support the company’s growth.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, CA, or ACCA certification preferred).
• Minimum of 08 to 12 years of experience in accounting and finance, with at least [4] years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws.
• Experience with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, etc.).
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
