 HR Executive – Cross-Functional Role

Location: Chennai, Tamil Nadu (with remote support to other branches)

Reports To: HR Manager / HR Director


📌 Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic HR Executive to manage and execute a broad spectrum of human resources and administrative functions across our corporate office and remote branches. This role is pivotal in fostering a positive work environment, ensuring operational efficiency, and aligning HR initiatives with organisational goals.


🔑 Key Responsibilities

1. Payroll Assistance

  • Monthly Payroll Processing: Collaborate with the finance team to ensure timely and accurate salary disbursements.
  • Attendance & Leave Management: Monitor and maintain employee attendance records, leave balances, and time-off requests.
  • Statutory Compliance: Assist in ensuring compliance with statutory deductions and benefits.



2. Employee Engagement & Relationship Building Engagement Activities:

  • Organise team-building events, wellness programs, and celebrations to enhance employee morale.
  • Feedback Mechanisms: Conduct surveys and feedback sessions to gauge employee satisfaction and address concerns.
  • Grievance Handling: Act as a point of contact for employee grievances, ensuring timely and effective resolution.


3. Travel Administration Travel Coordination:

  • Manage travel arrangements for employees, including transportation, accommodation, and itineraries.
  • Vendor Management: Liaise with travel agencies and vendors to secure competitive rates and services.
  • Policy Adherence: Ensure compliance with company travel policies and budgetary constraints.


4. Office Administration & Facility Management Office Supplies:

  • Oversee procurement and inventory management of office supplies and equipment.
  • Vendor Coordination: Manage relationships with vendors for services like housekeeping, security, and maintenance.
  • Facility Maintenance: Ensure a clean, organised, and safe office environment.


5. CRM Assistance (PAGAR BOOK)Data Entry:

  • Assist in maintaining accurate employee records within the PAGAR BOOK CRM system.
  • Report Generation: Generate and analyse reports related to attendance, payroll, and other HR metrics.
  • System Updates: Collaborate with IT to ensure the CRM system is updated and functioning efficiently.


6. Performance ManagementAppraisal Coordination:

  • Assist in the performance appraisal process, including setting KPIs and timelines.
  • Monitoring: Track employee performance and provide feedback to managers for development plans.
  • Training Needs Analysis: Identify skill gaps and coordinate training programs to enhance employee performance.(SimplyHired)


7. Cross-Functional Support Remote Branch Coordination:

  • Provide HR support to remote branches, including policy dissemination and issue resolution.
  • Communication: Ensure consistent communication between the corporate office and remote locations.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Assist in ensuring all branches adhere to company policies and statutory regulations.(Adzuna)


✅ Required Skills & Qualifications Educational Background:


  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: 1–2 years in HR or administrative roles, with exposure to payroll, employee engagement, and office administration.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., PAGAR BOOK), MS Office Suite, and CRM platforms.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Organisational Skills: Strong multitasking and time-management skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism.


Adaptability: Willingness to travel to remote branches as needed.
