Junior Accountant

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain books of accounts using Tally Prime
• Record day-to-day accounting entries (sales, purchase, receipts, payments, journal entries)
• Prepare and reconcile bank statements
• Handle GST compliance:

• GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-2B reconciliation
• GST input tax credit (ITC) reconciliation
• GST returns filing and follow-ups
• Prepare invoices, debit notes, and credit notes
• Assist in TDS entries and returns (if applicable)
• Maintain proper documentation and vouchers
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities
• Coordinate with auditors and senior accountants
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements

Required Skills & Knowledge

• Strong working knowledge of Tally Prime
• Good understanding of GST laws and procedures
• Basic knowledge of Income Tax & TDS
• Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, basic formulas)
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Good organizational and time-management skills
• Preferred Skills (Good to Have)Experience in accounting firms or CA offices
• Knowledge of payroll processing
• Familiarity with compliance deadlines
• Ability to handle multiple clients/accounts
