Job Description
- Assessment: Evaluate patients' physical, cognitive, and functional abilities through medical history review, interviews, and observation.
- Treatment Planning: Develop individualized plans with specific activities and goals to address patient needs, improving skills for dressing, cooking, working, and more.
- Therapeutic Intervention: Use activities, exercises (like stretching for arthritis), and cognitive strategies to improve strength, coordination, and mental health.
- Environmental Adaptation: Assess and recommend modifications to homes, schools, or workplaces for better accessibility.
- Adaptive Equipment Training: Teach patients and families how to use specialized tools, such as mobility aids or eating utensils.
- Education: Instruct patients and caregivers on managing conditions and preventing further injury.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records, progress notes, and reports for patient care and billing.
- Collaboration: Work with doctors, nurses, physical therapists, and other professionals for coordinated care.
