Job Profile - Recruiter/TL - Oil And Gas


OverviewThe Oil & Gas Recruiter is responsible for sourcing, attracting, and hiring qualified candidates for technical, engineering, operations, and field roles within the energy sector. This role requires deep industry knowledge, strong networking skills, and the ability to manage the full recruitment lifecycle in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.


  • Key ResponsibilitiesTalent Acquisition & RecruitmentManage end-to-end recruitment for upstream, midstream, and downstream roles (e.g., drilling engineers, production operators, HSE specialists, geoscientists, pipeline technicians).
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies using job boards, LinkedIn, industry networks, and recruitment databases.
  • Screen resumes, conduct interviews, evaluate candidates’ technical competencies and cultural fit.
  • Coordinate assessments, technical interviews, and reference checks.
  • Maintain strong candidate pipelines for both active positions and future needs.
  • Client & Stakeholder ManagementWork closely with hiring managers to understand job requirements, project timelines, and workforce plans.
  • Provide consultation on market trends, talent availability, compensation benchmarks, and hiring strategies.
  • Ensure alignment between recruitment activities and project manpower requirements.
  • Process & ComplianceEnsure all hiring practices comply with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Manage recruitment documentation, ATS systems, and reporting for internal audits.
  • Support relocation, onboarding, and mobilization of field staff as needed (e.g., offshore/onshore rotations).
  • Industry Networking & BrandingBuild strong relationships with professionals in drilling, exploration, production, refining, HSE, and engineering disciplines.
  • Represent the company at job fairs, industry events, technical conferences, and campuses.
  • Promote employer branding and ensure a positive candidate experience.
  • Qualifications & SkillsEducation & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
  • 2–5+ years of recruitment experience, preferably in oil & gas, energy, or heavy industry.
  • Proven track record recruiting for technical and field-based roles.
  • Technical & Functional SkillsStrong understanding of upstream/downstream operations and technical terminology.
  • Experience using ATS platforms, sourcing tools, and LinkedIn Recruiter.
  • Knowledge of industry certifications (API, NACE, NEBOSH, IWCF, etc.) is a plus.
  • Soft SkillsExcellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage complex hiring processes.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and relationship-driven.
