Job Title:

Senior AccountantLocation: T Nagar, Chennai

Salary: ₹35,000 – ₹55,000 per month

(Up to ₹60,000 for candidates with 20+ years of experience)

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to manage end-to-end accounting operations for our retail business. The role requires strong expertise in GST compliance, inventory handling (godown), and overall financial management.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle complete accounting cycle (Day-to-day accounting to finalization)
• Manage GST filings, returns, and compliance
• Handle E-Way Bill generation and documentation
• Maintain accounts for retail stores and godown inventory
• Monitor stock movement, reconciliation, and reporting
• Prepare financial statements, reports, and MIS
• Handle vendor payments, receivables, and bank reconciliations
• Ensure compliance with statutory and tax regulations
• Coordinate with auditors and support audits

Skills & Requirements

• Minimum 10+ years of experience in accounting
• Strong knowledge of GST, E-Way Bills, and taxation
• Experience in retail and warehouse (godown) accounting
• Proficiency in accounting software (Tally preferred)
• Good knowledge of MS Excel and reporting
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and manage deadlines

Preferred Candidate

• Experience in retail industry will be an advantage
• Stable work history with long-term commitment
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
