Position: Stores Executive

Experience: 1 to 4 Years

Job Summary

We are looking for an energetic and responsible Stores Executive with hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment. The candidate will be responsible for managing store operations, material handling, inventory control, and coordination with production and procurement teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming raw materials, consumables, and finished goods as per PO and documentation
  • Maintain proper records for inward and outward materials (GRN, issue slips, stock registers)
  • Ensure timely issue of materials to production as per requirement
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels and conduct regular physical stock verification
  • Update stock details in ERP / Excel on a daily basis
  • Ensure proper storage, labeling, and preservation of materials
  • Coordinate with Purchase, Production, and Quality teams for smooth material flow
  • Monitor minimum stock levels and support in material planning
  • Ensure housekeeping, safety, and 5S practices in stores area
  • Handle scrap, rejection materials, and returns as per company procedure
  • Source and evaluate potential suppliers for mechanical components/raw materials.
  • Negotiate purchase terms, contracts, pricing, delivery schedules.
  • Process Purchase Requisitions (PR) to Purchase Orders (PO), follow up on order status and delivery.
  • Monitor supplier performance—including delivery, quality, cost; conduct vendor audits and performance reviews.
  • Manage inventory levels, maintain reorder points, conduct vendor backup planning.
  • Collaborate closely with production, planning, stores, and quality assurance teams.
  • Maintain detailed purchase documentation: contracts, invoices, correspondence, MIS
  • Analyze market trends to obtain cost-efficient and reliable sourcing.
  • Help draft or update procurement policies and SOPs; pursuit of continuous process improvement.
  • Knowledge of purchase-to-pay workflows, vendor management, and mechanical part specifications.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g. Epicor, SAP), and MS Office, especially Excel. EMH Crane & Components
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills, and excellent communication skills.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Good knowledge of stores operations in a manufacturing unit
  • Basic understanding of inventory control and material management
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems and MS Excel
  • Physically fit, energetic, and willing to do hands-on work
  • Good coordination and communication skills
  • Honest, disciplined, and detail-oriented

Qualification

  • Any Diploma / Degree (Mechanical/ Stores Management preferred)
  • Relevant experience in manufacturing stores is mandatory

  • Minimum 1 year to maximum 4 years of experience in a manufacturing industry
