Accountant

Job Summary

The Accountant is responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accuracy in accounting processes, and supporting the organization with financial reporting, compliance, and analysis.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain books of accounts, including journal entries and ledgers

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

Manage accounts payable and receivable

Reconcile bank statements and cash accounts

Ensure timely filing of taxes and statutory compliance

Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning

Maintain payroll records and process salary payments

Coordinate with auditors during internal and external audits

Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies

Monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities

Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards

Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, etc.)

High attention to detail and accuracy

Analytical and problem-solving skills

Time management and ability to meet deadlines

Confidentiality and professional integrity

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

CA / CPA / CMA (preferred, depending on role level)

2–5 years of relevant accounting experience (freshers may apply for junior roles)

Working Conditions
