Job Description

City Manager — Chennai (Sales + Operations) 


About the Role You’ll launch and lead LaGlaze Chennai. From day one, you’ll own local sales (HORECA, 5-star hotels, premium bars, luxury caterers) and operations (order orchestration, packing, last‑mile, bus‑drops). Start with 2 delivery associates, and scale as demand grows.


Target: 1,000 cubes/day by Month 6.


Responsibilities

1.      Sales & Business Development (≈50%)

·      Build a 30–40 account pipeline; close 15+ active accounts by Month 3.

·      Drive weekly visit cadence (≥20 qualified visits), tastings/demos, trials → conversions.

·      Own pricing adherence, proposals, repeat order rate, and credit discipline.

·      Launch chef/bartender collaborations; coordinate POCs for custom blocks/spheres.

·      Maintain CRM hygiene: leads, stages, forecast accuracy, lost reasons.


2.      Operations & Service (≈50%)

·      Run daily ops: order capture → pick/pack → dispatch → delivery → PoD.

·      Plan routes/slots for 2 delivery associates; add shifts as volume scales.

·      Maintain cold-chain integrity: pack-out temperature, gel-packs, insulated boxes, temperature logs.

·      Hit OTIF and control melt/wastage; manage inventory/consumables; weekly cycle counts.

·      Coordinate collections with finance; enforce credit limits; keep DSO within target.

·      Recruit, train, and coach delivery staff on handling, hygiene, and brand etiquette.


Qualifications·      5–8 yrs in city P&L/ops + B2B sales; Chennai HORECA network preferred.

·      Experience with route planning, cold-chain handling, and field team management.

·      Data-driven; comfortable with CRM, routing apps, spreadsheets, WhatsApp-first ops.

·      Language: Tamil (mandatory), English (working).

·      Two-wheeler + valid license preferred; field-first attitude.

Compensation & Structure

Fixed: ₹5.4–6.5 LPA (role-dependent).

Variable: 10–30% OTE on run-rate, OTIF, repeat rate, DSO.
