Role Summary

Hands-on role responsible for assembling and preparing mechanical products for deployment, while also managing basic inventory and procurement tasks. The role sits close to production and directly influences product quality, turnaround time, and end-user impact. Includes exposure to digital fabrication such as 3D printing.

Key Responsibilities

Assemble products and subassemblies using hand tools and standard procedures

Follow technical drawings, SOPs, and build instructions with high accuracy

Perform basic testing, fitment checks, and functional validation

Identify defects or inconsistencies and flag issues early

Maintain build logs, checklists, and quality records

Inventory & Purchasing

Track incoming and outgoing components and materials

Maintain inventory levels and ensure availability of critical parts

Coordinate basic purchasing of components, tools, and consumables

Work with vendors for order follow-ups and simple sourcing tasks

Organize storage for easy access, traceability, and minimal loss

3D Printing & Fabrication (Learning Opportunity)

Learn operation of 3D printers for prototyping and production support

Assist in print preparation, slicing, and post-processing

Support iterative builds and rapid modifications

Maintain printers and basic troubleshooting

Required Skills

Strong hands-on ability with tools and assembly work

Ability to follow structured instructions precisely

Attention to detail and consistency

Basic organizational skills for inventory handling

Willingness to learn new tools and processes

Preferred Skills

Experience in mechanical or electromechanical assembly

Exposure to inventory management or procurement

Familiarity with 3D printing or fabrication tools

Basic understanding of materials and fasteners

Qualifications

ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or related field

0–3 years experience in assembly, workshop, or production roles

Success Metrics

Output consistency and assembly quality (low rework)

Timely completion of builds

Inventory accuracy and availability of parts

Ability to learn and independently handle new processes
