Job Description

The Assistant Manager – Operations is responsible for managing field operations, manpower governance, client coordination, and operational discipline across assigned sites. The role bridges operational strategy and on-ground execution, ensuring smooth site transitions, service continuity, and high service standards while maintaining 98%+ manpower strength and zero service disruption.

Key Responsibilities

1. Site Onboarding & Deployment

  • Conduct site surveys and prepare manpower deployment plans.
  • Coordinate employee onboarding, induction, and enrollment processes.
  • Support migrant manpower arrangements including transport and accommodation.
  • Ensure smooth new site stabilization before and after go-live.

2. Operations & Manpower Governance

  • Monitor daily manpower status across all assigned sites.
  • Maintain minimum 98% manpower strength through proactive replacement planning.
  • Supervise Operations Executives and ensure timely response to operational issues.
  • Ensure daily reporting, briefing updates, and operational photo compliance.

3. Client Engagement & Service Quality

  • Act as key operational contact for clients.
  • Conduct regular site visits, walkarounds, and service reviews.
  • Ensure grooming standards, discipline, and service quality compliance.
  • Organize employee meetings, training sessions, and performance follow-ups.

4. Attendance, Payroll & MIS Management

  • Oversee weekly and monthly attendance closure and verification.
  • Consolidate site reports and submit Monthly Management Reports (MMR).
  • Provide accurate attendance and OT inputs for payroll processing.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of operational MIS reporting.

5. Employee Welfare & Accommodation

  • Coordinate employee accommodation within approved budgets.
  • Address accommodation and employee welfare concerns promptly.
  • Ensure transport and settling support for newly deployed employees.

6. Team Coordination & Culture Development

  • Conduct operational meetings and supervisor reviews.
  • Lead Rewards & Recognition and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Promote discipline, safety standards, and service culture across sites.

7. Commercial & Process Support

  • Monitor invoice submissions and billing readiness.
  • Track attrition trends and support local manpower sourcing.
  • Assist Operations Head in operational documentation and commercial coordination.

Authority & Decision Rights

  • Coordinate manpower deployment and replacements within approved plans.
  • Intervene in client or employee escalations at site level.
  • Approve transport and accommodation within approved limits.
  • Direct Operations Executives on daily operational priorities.
  • Escalate service risks and client concerns to Operations Manager.

Performance Expectations

  • Maintain 98%+ manpower strength across sites.
  • Ensure zero service disruption and minimal client escalation.
  • Achieve 100% attendance and reporting accuracy.
  • Ensure timely submission of all operational reports.
  • Maintain grooming, induction, and compliance standards at all sites.
