Job Description
- Oversee all aspects of warehouse operations including inbound receipt, storage, order processing, dispatch, and returns.
- Ensure high standards of hygiene and cleanliness across the warehouse as per food-grade warehousing norms.
- Implement and maintain Good Warehousing Practices (GWP) including 5S, pest control, and routine cleaning schedules.
- Enforce FIFO/FEFO practices for stock movement and shelf-life management.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through daily cycle counts and periodic stock reconciliation.
- Ensure the warehouse remains audit-ready at all times, adhering to food safety and documentation standards.
- Coordinate directly with customers for dispatch schedules, priority shipments, issue resolution, and service updates.
- Act as the front-end representative of warehouse operations in all customer interactions.
- Demonstrate a proactive approach in identifying operational gaps and driving process improvements.
- Monitor space utilization and optimize layout for efficient storage and picking.
- Efficiently handle and lead a team of warehouse staff and supervisors, including manpower planning, shift allocation, and performance reviews.
- Conduct regular training and ensure high levels of productivity, discipline, and engagement among the team.
- Oversee the maintenance and safe use of Material Handling Equipment (MHE).
- Prepare and review daily MIS, KPIs, stock ageing, and exception reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as QA, logistics, procurement, and customer service for seamless operations.
