CCTV Technician

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CCTV Technician to install, maintain, and repair surveillance systems. The ideal candidate should have experience in configuring and troubleshooting CCTV cameras, DVRs/NVRs, networking, and access control systems. The technician will be responsible for ensuring security systems function effectively to enhance safety and surveillance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain CCTV cameras, DVR/NVR systems, and related security equipment.
• Perform troubleshooting and repairs on surveillance systems.
• Run cables, terminate connections, and ensure proper wiring for CCTV installations.
• Conduct system testing and maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to networking and remote monitoring.
• Collaborate with clients to assess security needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Maintain accurate records of installations, service requests, and repairs.
• Ensure compliance with safety and industry standards during installations.
• Provide technical support and guidance to clients regarding system operation and maintenance.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in CCTV technology and security solutions.

Qualifications and Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in electronics or security systems is a plus.
• Proven experience as a CCTV Technician or in a similar role.
• Knowledge of CCTV systems, access control, and alarm systems.
• Understanding of networking, IP cameras, and remote access configurations.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and manuals.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with tools and equipment used for CCTV installation.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel to client sites as needed.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with brands such as Hikvision, Dahua, honeywell, or similar.
• Knowledge of PoE switches, fiber optics, and structured cabling.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems and power supply configurations.
