Civil Site Supervisor

Roles & Responsibilities

• 1. Project Supervision Oversee day-to-day operations at the construction site.
• Supervise workers, subcontractors, and tradesmen.
• Ensure that work is carried out in accordance with drawings, specifications, and project plans.
• 2. Health & Safety ComplianceEnforce site safety rules and regulations.
• Conduct safety briefings and toolbox talks.
• Ensure use of personal protective equipment (PPE) by all workers.
• Report and respond to safety incidents or hazards.
• 3. Workforce CoordinationAllocate tasks and monitor work progress.
• Resolve conflicts among workers and subcontractors.
• Maintain labor discipline and productivity.
• 4. Quality Assurance Ensure that construction work meets required quality standards.
• Inspect workmanship and verify compliance with specifications.
• Report defects or deviations to the site engineer or project manager.
• 5. Material & Equipment Management Monitor inventory and usage of materials.
• Requisition materials and equipment as needed.
• Ensure proper handling and storage on-site.
• 6. Progress Monitoring & Reporting Maintain daily work logs and progress reports.
• Provide regular updates to site engineers or project managers.
• Highlight delays, issues, or resource shortages.
• 7. Coordination with Other Departments Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and other stakeholders.
• Attend site meetings and relay decisions to the site team.
• Assist in resolving technical or design-related issues.
• 8. Site Documentation Keep records of attendance, work progress, safety audits, and material deliveries.
• Ensure proper documentation for inspections and approvals.
