CNC Lathe,Mill Machine Operator

Job Responsibilities:

Required to manufacture critical dimensional parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC)

machine while maintaining safety standards. Required to operate manual lathe & mill machines, grinders, drilling, tapping, and

polishing while maintain safety standards.

Responsible for

 Setting the respective machine to operate based on the engineering drawings & achieve the standard routing time dictated

on the work order

 Inquire purchase requisitions based on machine tooling usage & maintain proper stock

 Programs on CNC machines including,

o Zero & reference points; setting tool registers, & calculations including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry

 Set up mills & lathes by installing multiple jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, and gears

 Verifies first-run part and able to sample workpiece, adhering to international standards

 Adhering to quality assurance procedures & processes by closely measuring output & taking measurements on the

machine

 Deburring of machined parts.

 Detecting malfunctions, troubleshoot processes, and conduct the proper modifications.

 Willing to work on multiple machines.

Core Competencies (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)

Capable of Interpreting:

 Standard documentation such as work orders, and engineering drawings

 Interpreting geometric dimensions & tolerance (GD&T)

 Tooling usage on the machines & driving the manufacturing engineering & manager to maintain proper stock

Technical Requirements:

 Programs on CNC machines including,

 Capable of set up mills & lathes by installing multiple jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, and gears
