Job Description
🔹 Commis 3 (Entry Level)
Beginner or trainee level
Usually fresh graduates from culinary school or with very little experience
Performs basic tasks like:
Washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables
Measuring ingredients
Assisting senior chefs
Focus is on learning kitchen operations, hygiene, and discipline
🔹 Commis 2 (Intermediate Level)
Has some experience and basic cooking skills
Can handle simple dishes with supervision
Responsibilities include:
Preparing basic recipes
Cooking certain sections (like salads, starters, or simple mains)
Maintaining cleanliness and organization
Understands kitchen workflow and timing better
🔹 Commis 1 (Advanced Junior Level)
Most skilled among commis chefs
Has good experience and can work with minimal supervision
Responsibilities include:
Preparing and cooking dishes independently
Managing a section when required
Guiding Commis 2 and 3
Ensuring quality and presentation standard
