Job Description

Deputy Manager-IMG SCM

Functional:

  • Review the shortage report, customer low will make report, over shipment report & daily activity report on a weekly basis.
  • Managing supply chain from US / Europe / India / Thailand / China supplier base to manufacturing plants through Export Distribution Centers by co-coordinating with suppliers, carriers, Distribution Centers across countries and various internal departments within FORD like Purchasing, Logistics, PPM, PVT, STA etc. 
  • Premium Freight request to be sent for Regional approval on time as and when the request received from plant after proper alignment with concerned stakeholders.
  • Lead New Model program activities for all import parts starting from TT phase or if the parts are available in CMMS.
  • Highlight any potential production risk to launch / Production and involve cross functional members as required. Check for various options available for assistance from other alternative material sources & co-ordinate accordingly.
  • Lead the transformation projects in SCM to implement successfully using latest technology like RPA, AI/ML, BI tools, by constant collaboration with IT team. 

  Leadership:

  • Coach and plan training for the new comers on the SCM process and system.
  • Represent IMG MP&L in program launch meetings, OTG, Logistics, Schedule change and other critical meetings related to Supply Chain.
  • Conduct Team Meeting as per the daily agenda.
  • Review and monitor department objectives with team members aligned with metrics.
  • Co-ordination with the Team members to ensure process and procedures revalidation done on a quarterly basis.
  • Support all SCM analysts and provide guidance towards resolving the issues.
  • Encourage and Lead the team to improve the overall Pulse metric for the Team.

 

Others:

  • Circulate PAN/Night letter & Heads-up for all critical Issue as appropriate.
  • Co-ordinate Holiday contingency plans, shut downs, strikes etc. with suppliers, EDCs and customers to develop alternate plans to tackle potential issues
  • Publish the parts supportability with respect to the MRD for every build stage with GYR status and highlight issues, if any, appropriately to the management and seek support
  • Liner Delays consolidated and sent to the Network team for resolution

Education Qualification Engineering Degree / Automobile, B. Tech No. of Years of Experience 8 - 10 years. Professional Exposure

Min 3-5 years of experience in Automobile OEM in the area of Supply Chain involving Imports and exports as well day to day contacts with suppliers 

 

Min 3-5 years of experience in Implementing various transformation projects from As Is to Go-Live

Any Others

-. Understanding of Automobile Supply Chain Business and ERP system.

- Good knowledge on Excel & Good analytical skills

- Ability to work with various cross functions depts. for coordination 

- Latest IT inclinations is preferable (AI/ML, RPA, Python, Alteryx, Power BI, Qlik Sense)
