Design Engineer Marine structures

An Engineer who is able to develop & provide design deliverables for a Ports & Harbour / marine structures project independently or under guidance of his Engineering manager for permanent structures, construction methods & enabling works. Develop design deliverables including drawings, calculations & other technical documents. Responsible for maintaining timeliness, quality / correctness & quantity / cost control of the required deliverables.

Should have or be capable of & interested in developing any or all of the below skills

• Design & Analysis – Breakwaters / revetments, Berths / Approaches, Steel & RCC structures, Sheetpile / Diaphragm wall
• Appreciation of Geotechnical design - Pile design, Slope stability analysis, reclamation & ground improvement
• Construction methodology & enabling works for Marine structure projects
• Design coordination
• Design & Drawing review
• Relevant codes & standards – IS & BS codes for marine, IS 456, IS 800, IS 875, CEM / CIRIA / Eurotop
• Design / Analysis software relevant to the domain – STAAD, Geoslope, GRLweap, Breakwat
• Visualisation of design & site
• Digital skills including automation, BIM etc.
