Design & Engineering

• Perform detailed structural analysis and design of steel structures for metro rail systems.
• Prepare detailed design calculations, drawings, and specifications for steel components.
• Design steel frameworks for stations, canopies, footbridges, and support structures.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant codes (IRC, IRS, IS, AISC, AASHTO, Eurocode and international standards.)
• Perform seismic and wind load analysis for steel structures in urban environments.

Project Coordination

• Coordinate with civil, mechanical, and electrical teams for integrated structural solutions.
• Provide technical support during construction phase.

Quality & Compliance

• Ensure designs meet safety, reliability, and durability requirements for public infrastructure.
• Ensure designs consider maintainability and lifecycle costs.
• Prepare technical documentation and compliance reports.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in structural analysis software (MIDAS, STAAD Pro, SAP2000, ETABS, or similar)
• Strong knowledge of steel design software
• Experience with BIM software (Revit, Tekla Structures)

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication skills for multidisciplinary coordination
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Leadership capabilities for mentoring junior engineers.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in field of steel structural design pertaining to metro projects.
