Desktop Support Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION – FIELD NETWORK SUPPORT ENGINEER (BANKING)

Role Summary:

Responsible for providing on-site (field) network support services for banking clients, ensuring smooth operation of network infrastructure and quick resolution of technical issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide field support for network-related issues across bank branches.
• Install, configure, and maintain networking equipment (routers, switches, modems, etc.).
• Troubleshoot connectivity issues (LAN/WAN, internet, VPN).
• Coordinate with remote support teams and vendors for issue resolution.
• Ensure timely resolution of tickets as per SLA.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine health checks of network systems.
• Support ATM and branch connectivity where required.
• Maintain service reports and documentation for all visits.

Skills & Requirements:

• Basic to intermediate knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, routing, switching).
• Familiarity with banking network environments is an added advantage.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and coordination abilities.
• Willingness to travel for field work.

Experience:

• 0–3 years of experience in network support / field support roles.

Work Type:

• Field-based (on-site support for bank locations)

Candidate must be flexible with travel and able to respond to urgent service requests.
