Dialysis Technician

1. Equipment Preparation and Maintenance:

Set up and prepare

dialysis machines and equipment before each patient's treatment session.

Ensure proper

functioning of dialysis machines and troubleshoot any technical issues that

may arise during treatment.

Perform routine

maintenance tasks on dialysis equipment, including cleaning and sterilization

procedures.

2. Patient Care and

Monitoring:

Assist patients onto

and off of dialysis machines, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout

the treatment process.

Monitor vital signs

and observe patients for any adverse reactions during dialysis treatment.

Notify nursing staff

or physicians promptly of any significant changes in a patient's condition.

3. Documentation

and Record-Keeping:

Maintain accurate

records of patients' dialysis treatments, including vital signs, medications

administered, and any complications or incidents that occur during treatment.

Ensure compliance

with hospital policies and regulatory requirements regarding documentation

and record-keeping.

4. Patient

Education and Support:

Provide basic

education to patients and their families regarding dialysis procedures,

treatment schedules, and self-care techniques.

Offer emotional

support and encouragement to patients undergoing dialysis treatment,

addressing any concerns or questions they may have.

5. Collaboration

and Communication:

Collaborate

effectively with other members of the healthcare team, including nurses,

nephrologists, and other dialysis technicians, to ensure coordinated patient

care.

Communicate clearly

and professionally with patients and their families, explaining procedures

and answering questions in a compassionate manner.
