D’man – Substation (Civil & Structural) 2D & 3D (REVIT)

Reports to (Job – Role): Design Lead

Reportee (Job – Role):  -

Education: Diploma / ITI in Civil Engineering.

Experience: 3-10 years, experience in 2D Detailing in AutoCAD of Civil and Structural Works in Substation, Power Plants construction Industry, Oil and Gas, Fertilizer industry, Refineries. Experience in 3D REVIT (BIM) would be preferred.

Objective: The Person shall carry out 2D detailing in AutoCAD of Civil & Structural works for the PT&D IC covering for Substation Projects for Voltage Levels ranging between 415V – 1200 KV.

Shall be Responsible to cater to needs of all SS teams of Domestic & International Projects.

The Draftsman shall also co-ordinate with other disciplines viz., Electrical and Mechanical for inter disciplinary inputs / checks. 

The D’man should be able to develop the 3-D model of the Buildings in BIM platform for clash checks & extracting Bill of Quantities.

The D’man shall work with a team of Design Engineers, Lead Engineers to create Detailing of Engineering activities to deliver on time and maintaining a high quality of engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collection of Inputs of Detailing from Design Engineers
• Preparation of 2D detail drawings for superstructure and foundation for all buildings, Outdoor foundations, Civil layouts, Equipment support structures.
• Preparation of 3D Model of Buildings and Layouts
• Extraction of 2D drawings from the 3D Model.
• Documentation of records for all the projects as per Quality
• Adherence to checklist of Drawings for Review purpose
• Submission of Drawings to design Engineer for review
• Corrections and Comments updated from Site Inputs
• Preparing BOQ based on the drawings.

Technical Expertise: 

• D’man shall be capable of preparation of drawings of RCC Buildings, Structural elements, equipment structures (Steel lattice and Pipe structures), Transformer foundations, outdoor equipment foundations, guard house, staff quarters, grading, roads and drainage, cable trench, outdoor steel structures and miscellaneous works related to the substations and cabling works.
• D’man shall be able to review Vendor engineering drawings (layouts, fabrication drawings) with respect to Civil & Structural. Knowledge of switchyard gantry towers, equipment supporting structures & foundations. Familiarization with Detailed engineering of pre-engineered buildings.

• Utilisation of BIM Platform towards Digitalisation initiatives.

Software Skills Required: 

• AUTOCAD, MicroStation (for 2D drawings), REVIT 3D (BIM), Navisworks.
