Electrician

The Technician in the Engineering department is responsible for performing routine maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of various hospital systems and equipment. This includes electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and other mechanical systems to ensure optimal operation and compliance with safety standards.

       DAILY DUTIES:

1 Performing routine inspections and maintenance on hospital equipment and systems.

2 Responding to maintenance requests and emergency repairs in patient rooms, critical care units, operating theaters, and other areas.

3 Recording all maintenance and repair work in log books and checklists.

4 Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards during all maintenance activities.

5 Diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing issues.

6 Replacing or repairing defective parts and components.

7 Maintaining records of spare parts and consumables.

8 Assisting with preventive maintenance schedules and tasks.

9 Coordinating with other engineering staff for comprehensive maintenance and repair work.

10 Updating shift complaints and ensuring all issues are resolved promptly.

WEEKLY DUTIES:

1 Performing scheduled preventive maintenance on all critical systems and equipment.

2 Reviewing and updating maintenance logs and records.

3 Conducting inspections of hospital infrastructure to identify potential issues.

4 Participating in team meetings to discuss maintenance activities and priorities.

MONTHLY DUTIES:

1 Assisting in preparing monthly maintenance reports.

2 Reviewing and updating preventive maintenance schedules.

3 Ensuring all equipment and systems are functioning efficiently.

4 Coordinating with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance work.
