Engineer / Associate Engineer - ECU Materials Management

Job Title – Engineer / Associate Engineer - ECU Materials Management

  • Role Purpose

The Material Management Coordinator is responsible for end‑to‑end material procurement, stock accuracy, production order management, supplier communication, and SAP transactions related to material flow, delivery, and warranty claim manufacturing. The position ensures timely material availability, correct system data, and compliance with procurement and production processes.


Are you the one?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical)
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Direct Material Procurement in Manufacturing / Auto Sector  
  • Expertise in inventory control methods and planning techniques
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems
  • Strong communication and cross-functional coordination abilities
  • Proficiency in MS Excel / Power BI (preferred)
  • Experience in Material Management, Procurement
  • Strong experience with SAP MM / PP modules.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and supplier‑coordination abilities.

What will you be doing?

Procurement & Purchase Order Management

  • Collect purchase requisitions and Create Purchase Orders (PO) in SAP and send them to suppliers.
  • Monitor order confirmations and resolve deviations in delivery time, quantity, or cost.
  • Maintain ERP with accurate, up‑to‑date information.


Material Planning & Forecasting

  • Collaborate with Production, Procurement, and Customer service to forecast demand and plan material requirements.
  • Analyze consumption trends and adjust planning parameters to support continuous availability.
  • Review and fine-tune MRP (Material Requirements Planning) settings for accuracy.


Process & System Improvement

  • Implement best practices in inventory handling, storage, and documentation.
  • Identify process gaps and drive improvements in warehouse flows, stocking methods, and inventory accuracy.
  • Work closely with IT/ERP teams to improve system performance and reporting (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.)

Compliance & Quality

  • Ensure compliance with internal control standards, audit requirements, and safety guidelines.
  • Maintain documentation required for ISO, statutory audits, internal audits.

Delivery Management

  • Monitor and control the delivery chain from supplier to Factory / Distribution Center

Supplier Monitoring

  • Verify supplier invoices and resolve discrepancies.
  • Raise reclamations to suppliers for issues related to deliveries, documentation, or quality.
  • Monitor supplier performance and escalate when service levels do not meet company requirements.
