Engineer - Clutch
Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
• Design and analyse Driveshaft / CVJ components for automotive/industrial applications.• Utilize CAD software (CATIA / UG) to meticulously design driveline components, Articulation study, Packaging, ensuring precision and adherence to specifications.
• Conduct performance, durability, and reliability testing of driveline components.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of driveline systems into the overall vehicle architecture.
• Work closely with powertrain, vehicle dynamics, and NVH Team to balance driveline performance
• Identify and implement improvements in driveline technology to enhance vehicle performance, fuel efficiency, and reduce emissions.
• Work with external suppliers for sourcing driveline components, ensuring parts meet stringent quality and performance criteria.
• Prepare detailed reports, technical documentation, and presentations for internal stakeholders and management.
• Maintain records of testing, validation processes, and lessons learned for future product iteration
• Expected to know & have light motor vehicle driving & license
• Knowledge in DFMEA, Benchmark, Root Cause Analysis etc.. is must
• Experience with simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB, Simulink, Adams) for system modeling and analysis in added advantage 1. Strong domain knowledge on Driveshaft / CVJ systems design & development.
2. Knowledge on component level and vehicle level validation of the Driveline systems
3. Should have knowledge, experience on vendor quality issues, end of line quality issues, customer warranty issues
4. Fair knowledge on NVH and experience in carry out clutch tuning on vehicles.
5. Knowledge on CAD preferably in Unigraphics, GD&T, DOE, FMEA
6. Basic Knowledge on quality tools and standards
7. Excellent Knowledge on CAD preferably in Unigraphics, CATIA
8. Strong knowledge in 3D Modelling and 2D drawings
9. Good knowledge GD&T, Packaging /Layout study, Stack ups
