Job Description
- Key ResponsibilitiesPerform technical analysis on individual stocks, sectors, and market indices using charting tools, indicators (e.g., moving averages, RSI, MACD, Bollinger Bands, Fibonacci retracements), and pattern recognition.
- Assist in building and maintaining technical databases, watchlists, and screening models to identify trading opportunities and potential risks.
- Support fundamental equity research by analyzing financial statements, earnings reports, and valuation metrics (e.g., P/E, EV/EBITDA, DCF models) to complement technical findings.
- Prepare concise research notes, charts, and presentations highlighting technical setups, price targets, and entry/exit signals.
- Monitor macroeconomic data, news flow, and market sentiment to provide real-time updates on potential technical breakouts or reversals.
- Collaborate with portfolio managers and traders to provide timely technical insights and support investment decision-making.
- Stay updated on evolving technical analysis methodologies, software tools, and market trends.
- Qualifications & RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field (Master’s degree or CFA Level 1 progress is a plus but not required).
- 0–2 years of relevant experience in equity research, trading, investment banking, or financial analysis (internships count).
- Strong understanding of technical analysis principles, chart patterns, and key indicators.
- Proficiency with technical analysis platforms (e.g., TradingView, Thinkorswim, MetaStock, Bloomberg, or similar).
- Basic knowledge of fundamental analysis and financial modeling (Excel proficiency required; VBA or Python a plus).
- Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex ideas clearly.
- High attention to detail, ability to work under tight deadlines, and a proactive, self-motivated mindset.
- Passion for financial markets and a genuine interest in equity investing.
