Field Supervisor – Roles & Responsibilities

1. Truck  Management

·       Ensure timely vehicle dispatch from yard or customer location.

·       Monitor vehicle movement and trip progress via GPRS and Update Customer if Any Deviation

·       Coordinate with drivers, customers, and operations team.

2. Driver Management

·       Ensure driver attendance and shift planning.

·       Monitor driver behaviour, safety, and discipline.

·       Provide trip instructions and route details.

3. Trip Documentation

·       Verify and maintain documents such as:

o  Trip Sheet, Consignment note

o  POD (Proof of Delivery – Mostly Seal of the Received Company)

·       Gate pass / delivery challan, after trip completion.

4. Customer Coordination

·       Coordinate with client dispatch teams.

·       Update vehicle arrival and delivery status.

·       Resolve delivery delays or operational issues.

5. Tracking & Reporting

·       Track vehicles using GPS via Mobile Phone

·       Speak to Drivers if he deviates from Scheduled Route

6. Safety & Compliance

·       Ensure drivers follow safety rules

·       Ensure Safety Compliance as per Customer Requirements – Like Safety Shoes, Fire Extingusher, Safety Jacket, Rear View Mirror
