Gold Appraiser

Key Responsibilities

1. Appraisal & Valuation

• Examine gold, diamond, and other precious jewellery for purity, weight, and authenticity.
• Use testing equipment (karat analyzer, acid test, loupe, etc.) to verify jewellery quality.
• Provide accurate valuation of jewellery as per current market rates.
• Maintain appraisal reports with transparency and accountability.

1. Customer Handling

• Explain valuation process clearly to customers to build trust and confidence.
• Handle pledged or exchanged jewellery items with utmost care and integrity.
• Support sales team by providing technical inputs when required.

1. Documentation & Compliance

• Record all appraisal details in system / register as per company policies.
• Ensure proper billing, tagging, and documentation for valuation.
• Comply with company’s security and confidentiality guidelines.

1. Quality Control

• Assist in checking the purity and weight of new jewellery stock.
• Support store team in verifying returns, repairs, or exchanged items.

1. Team Collaboration

• Coordinate with store manager, cashier, and sales team for smooth operations.
• Provide training / awareness to sales staff on basics of jewellery quality checking.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of gold, diamond, and gemstone evaluation.
• Hands-on experience with hallmarking, purity testing, and valuation tools.
• High integrity, trustworthiness, and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills to interact with customers.
• Basic computer knowledge for data entry and reporting.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a goldsmith or appraiser in jewellery retail.                      ( Freshers also can apply)
• Certification in jewellery appraisal / gemology preferred (not mandatory).
• Local candidates with industry references will be given priority.

Working Hours: As per showroom schedule( 9.15 to 9 PM) 6 days working with weekly one day off

CTC Range – 19,300 – 26,000
