JOB DESCRIPTION – HR MANAGER
Company Overview
We are a CNC machining company manufacturing automotive components from SG Iron castings. We operate as a Tier-2 supplier to Hyundai and Kia and supply machined components to Korean Tier-1 customers. Our operations involve foundry sourcing, CNC machining, inspection, and dispatch, with a strong focus on quality, productivity, discipline, and compliance with statutory and customer requirements.
Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced HR Manager to independently manage end-to-end human resources and industrial relations activities for a manufacturing plant environment. This is a senior, hands-on role requiring strong exposure to shop-floor HR, statutory compliance, workforce management, and employee relations. The HR Manager will work closely with plant leadership, production, quality, and finance teams to support stable operations and organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Manpower Planning
● Plan and execute manpower requirements for production, quality, maintenance, and support functions
● Handle end-to-end recruitment for staff, engineers, supervisors, and contract manpower
● Coordinate with department heads for workforce planning and replacements
● Manage onboarding, induction, and confirmation processes
Statutory Compliance & Labor Laws
● Ensure full compliance with applicable labor laws and statutory requirements (PF, ESI, Bonus, Gratuity, Factory Act, CLRA, Minimum Wages, etc.)
● Maintain statutory registers, records, and returns
● Coordinate with labor consultants, inspectors, and government authorities
● Ensure compliance for contract labor and third-party service providers
Payroll, Attendance & HR Operations
● Oversee payroll processing in coordination with finance/accounts
● Manage attendance systems, leave management, overtime, and shift policies
● Ensure accurate wage processing for permanent and contract employees
● Handle employee data, HRMIS, and personnel records Industrial Relations & Employee Engagement
● Maintain healthy industrial relations and discipline on the shop floor
● Handle grievances, misconduct cases, and disciplinary actions
● Support management during negotiations, settlements, and compliance discussions
● Promote employee engagement, morale, and retention initiatives
Performance Management & Training
● Implement and manage performance appraisal systems
● Coordinate skill development, technical training, safety training, and behavioral programs
● Identify training needs in coordination with department heads
● Support competency development for supervisors and shop-floor staff
HR Policies, Systems & Documentation
● Develop, implement, and update HR policies, SOPs, and procedures
● Ensure proper documentation for appointments, confirmations, increments, and exits
● Maintain discipline, code of conduct, and company policies
● Support audits related to HR, statutory, and customer requirements
Administration & Cross-Functional Coordination
● Oversee general administration activities such as security, housekeeping, and canteen (if applicable)
● Coordinate closely with Production, Quality, Finance, and Management
● Support management in organizational planning and change initiatives
● Act as a bridge between employees and management
Qualification & Experience Requirements
- Graduate / Postgraduate in HR, Personnel Management, or Industrial Relations
- Minimum 10 to 15 years of experience in manufacturing / automotive industry
- Strong exposure to factory HR, labor laws, and shop-floor operations
- Experience in Tier-1 or Tier-2 automotive supplier environment preferred
- Hands-on experience handling contract labor and statutory audits

Compensation
Salary will be based on the candidate’s experience, interview performance, and on-the-job performance.

Important Note
This position is strictly for an experienced HR Manager with strong manufacturing and shop-floor exposure.
