Intern Customs

- Update Customs instructions database (Tariff, Customs regulation for tax & duties' suspension, preferential origin, customs value, ...), perform component and product classification and preferential Origin determination

- Follow Customs process and coordinate with site SCM team for executing shipments (Import/export) as per given shipping documents (Invoice, Packing, Bill of Lading, COO, etc.)

- Liaison with site SCM /Finance team, Customs, DGFT and Customs Brokers for smooth flow of operations.

- Work with Consultants or issuing authorities to prepare documents and obtain the licences/ permits related to EPCG, Advance Authorisation

- Validate import documents and Support the Customs duty payment process (E-Payment).

- Verify Customs duty changes and maintain database.

- Keep monitoring of Duty/ tax refund rights reserved (FTA/duty drawback, etc.) and ensure it will be returned in a timely manner

- Attend a monthly KPIs -Customs brokerage meeting to review performance and customs records

- Manage Customs filling process and ensure that they are properly maintained and up-to-date

- Check Customs and Accounting traceability in the ERP;

- Comply with Customs/local rule and regulation and report on customs management discrepancies.

- Support Site logistics or Supply Chain team in shipment activities; 

- Participate in the preparation of Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) company certification: Establish and/or refresh processes in line with AEO evolution

- Review and submit the C/O (Certificate of Origin) cost details to the issuing authority on a periodic basis

- Contribute to the Group Ethics & Compliance program by applying and respecting code of Ethics and Valeo’s policies.
