Job Summary:

  • We're seeking an experienced Test Lead with 6 - 9 years of hands-on software testing expertise to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in SQL, web application testing, and API testing, coupled with strong leadership skills and effective communication abilities. This role demands proficiency in an Agile Scrum environment, with a focus on delivering quality software within tight timelines.

Essential Functions:

  • Lead and mentor a team of software testers, providing guidance and support throughout the testing lifecycle.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases to ensure the quality of our software products.
  • Conduct functional, regression, integration, and performance testing as necessary.
  • Utilize strong SQL skills to perform database testing and data validation.
  • Perform API testing to verify the functionality and interoperability of software components.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and quality assurance engineers, to identify and resolve issues.
  • Champion best practices and standards for testing methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Track and report on testing progress, including defect metrics, test coverage, and release readiness.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in software testing and quality assurance.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to provide updates on testing progress and raise any concerns or blockers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to ensure seamless coordination and alignment of testing activities.

Requirements:

  • 6 – 9 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on web applications and APIs.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL for database testing and data validation.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including the ability to motivate and mentor team members.
  • Solid understanding of Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum.
  • Familiarity with defect tracking systems, test management tools, and Agile project management tools (e.g., JIRA).
  • Certifications related to software testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) or equivalent experience is preferred.

Required Skills: Software testing, Business design/System testing

                             Defect Root Cause Analysis

                             Test Case, Test Strategy & Test Plan Documentation

                             Agile process,

                             Hands on Manual Testing, SQL Experience

Tools: Defect Management Software JIRA, Fogbugz.

Skills Good to Have but not mandatory: US Healthcare Knowledge, Basic Automation knowledge in Selenium or playwright with experience working in US health care projects.

Soft Skills

Working Hours

Shift – 12 PM to 9 PM

Will be required to extend as per project delivery requirement.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
