Lead Engineer - MBSE

Develop cutting-edge data analytics solutions to solve complex propulsion systems challenges and improve customer experience of Ford Motor Company’s advanced vehicles:

• Bachelor’s in mechanical or electrical engineering
• 5+ years of experience with following:
  • Analyzing data using industry-standard Python data science libraries (Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, Dask, etc.)
  • Retrieving and processing data from a variety of data sources (file-based data sources, databases, RESTful web APIs, etc.)
• Candidate must have very good communication skills.
• Has track record of developing from abstract description to final output. 
• Use Python to develop automated tools for retrieving, processing, and aggregating data from a variety of different internal and 3rd party data sources
• Create standardized reporting tools, metrics, and visualizations to support electrified propulsion use cases
• Create and maintain unit tests of core software functionality to ensure robustness across different compute environments
• Use version control systems (GitHub) to maintain software traceability and perform documentation of code, data, and processes

• Master’s in mechanical or electrical engineering
• 3 years experience in working in propulsion system data analysis and support.
• 5+ years of demonstrated experience with data retrieval and analysis using Python
• Experience with big data tools and methods (Hadoop, Hive, Spark)
• Experience developing Python applications for both Windows and Linux
• Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
