Lead Engineer PD

  • Able to lead and deliver safety gateway & non gateway build using a modular approach.
  • Good knowledge in full vehicle builds, planning & execution of program control models, complexity preparations
  • Good knowledge in Safety modular approach/process & prepare all types of safety modules as per safety best practices including inter module connections
  • Good knowledge in applying BOM in the modules as per Safety process
  • Can create/debug all types of FE connections including spot, seam, adhesives, bolt, joints within the modules & between modules as per safety guidelines.
  • Can perform de-penetration/intersections within the modules, with other modules, and with the full vehicle as per guidelines.
  • Capable of converting a full vehicle into modules (assemble and disassemble).
  • Good knowledge in performing module reviews & sign off using safety standard check sheets
  • Good knowledge in full vehicle integration & debug for standard load cases
  • Prepare delivery notes with assumptions, resolutions, debug run results
  • Capable of creating/updating and maintaining a Safety library and MLAB script.
  • Able to mentor the team on the tricks, best practices, techniques & modular approach process
  • Good knowledge of safety solvers like Radioss, LS-Dyna.
  • Good working experience in hyper works, Primer, Cygwin, Scripts, Unix commands
  • Understanding of module tool strengths and pitfalls.
  • Participate and come up with efficiency improvements and implement safety-specific TAT reduction
  • Collaborate with Safety, CAE-I & GES team for getting all the input, query & resolutions, model deliveries
  • Develop and Validate Safety Modules: Prepare, update, and debug safety modules as per established safety guidelines, including creating and debugging FE connections (spot, seam, adhesives, bolt), and performing de-penetration/intersections within and between modules.
  • Safety Model Sign-off and Quality Assurance: Perform sign-off for safety models, conduct peer reviews, debug models, and execute comprehensive module quality checks to ensure adherence to safety standards.
  • Modular Approach Leadership and Mentorship: Lead safety gateway builds using a modular approach and mentor the team on safety modular processes, best practices, techniques, and the strengths and pitfalls of various module tools.
  • Integration and Efficiency Improvement: Provide feedback to the GES team regarding safety model & integration, actively participate in identifying and implementing efficiency improvements, and ensure the implementation of safety-specific requirements.
  • Safety Data Management and Tool Utilization: Create, update, and maintain safety libraries and scripts, utilize rrad commands, and apply knowledge of safety solvers like Radioss and LS-Dyna for model analysis and debugging.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering

Essential tools:  Hyper mesh or ANSA. Ls Dyna or Radioss

Optional tools:  Hyper Crash, Hyper View, Meta post, Primer
